For the Fall 2018 women's collection, we present the story of a wardrobe worthy of the superhero women who wear it. These designs, inspired by the unparalleled and iconic style of the ‘90s, offer an edgy ease of styling, comfortable fit, and glamour—all the elements modern-day superhero women crave to strengthen their closet and can rely on as they master their pursuits. The collection is offered in three distinct yet equally lust-worthy supers, each one interchangeable between deliveries.
We hosted a press day in New York to debut the collection, and in lieu of our usual production, a donation was made to J Brand model and superhero Jacquelyn Jablonski’s charity Autism Tomorrow in recognition of Autism Awareness Month. The media response was very kind, with positive reviews from both WWD and Vogue.
Musician Brianna Lance, who we previously featured on STORIES, crafted the playlist for the collection, which is offered in three distinct yet equally lust-worthy supers, each one interchangeable between deliveries:
Super Evening—Eveningwear-inspired styles launch the delivery from day to night. Laser-cut black leather and organza-detailed denim (an evolution of our transparency story from Pre-Fall) offer a dressier spin on our historically unmatched black offerings. Moto leather skinnies and an oversized moto leather jacket pair back to delicate sweater camis and a cashmere slip dress.
Super Fashion—Fashion-forward styles honor J Brand’s classics, in timely and luxe fall details. Ultra-soft faux fur outerwear is paired with edgy mid-blue and grey denim washes with exposed zippers and button flys. The rigid straight leg continues on for Fall, with our Joan Crop in a washed black and exaggerated cuffed hem.
Super Color—Our Fall colorama offering is anchored by silver shades, from touches and trims to full pieces: denim with metallic silver hems, a full-length silver duster, a silver crushed velvet cami, silver lamé piping, and a silver organza jacket. Other options to pull off the colorama monochrome wardrobe include varying shades of pinks, reds, and deep blues.
